Loved it! Perfect for families with young kids. The family pool was lots of fun with a cave and waterfalls. Our 6 year old loved the water slide (so did we!), if only they had a smaller slide that our 4 year old could have used. The beach was great, the grounds were beautiful. I highly recommend this resort.

Expect waiting for collecting towels. You only get 2 or 1 towels at a time. Need to book the slots for beach hut or pool hut. No welcome with traditional flowers. Need to carry different cards for room key, collecting towels and yoga. Maybe they need to make it one entire unit so that people might enjoy their stay without worrying about the cards. Towel spots would be at a customer eccentric point. They can improve.

I love the location right on the beach without all the crowds of Waikiki. I have stayed at Waikiki and didn’t like that it didn’t feel like Hawaii. Here you are able to take walk at night and feel safe and if you want to venture into Waikiki or the north shore it’s only a short drive away. Highly recommend

Although I completely understand protocols will be different during a pandemic versus prior to or post one, I feel the hotel needs to be 100% transparent with things that will negatively impact the travelers experience. While the website does mention the pool requires reservations, no where does it state that you can only reserve 2 pool chairs per party for 2 hours per day. As a family of 5 (with 2 teens and a 10 year old) 2 chairs for 2 hours total per day is not acceptable. We’re here to spend time as a family however their restrictions are preventing us from doing such. You can’t even pay for additional chairs or book more than 1 time slot. They also don’t allow personal chairs or umbrellas at the pool or beach. What do they expect families to do? We spent 3 nights at Aulani next door and they do not have the same restrictions. It’s first come first serve but you are welcome to your chairs all day and can hold 1 chair per person. Marriott needs to come up with a better system. Either book at less capacity so families can have room for their entire party or fully make families aware prior to booking that they will only be allowed 2 chairs at beach or pool (not both) for 2 hours total per day.

Such A BEAUTIFUL place to stay on Oahu. Away from all the traffic and noise of Honolulu/Waikiki. A short walk down the beach to Aulani, The Disney resort. Rooms are spacious, with everything you need. Two bdrm unit has space for eight people. Two bathrooms, kitchen and laundry.
