Alpine Motel

My fiancé and I drove across the country and stumble across this small and cozy place. We manage to make up the snowy mountain. What we liked about the motel it did not feel like a motel. Instead, it felt like a cabin. They might as well name it to a cabin instead of a motel. Lol. When we woke up, we were offered by gentlemen to shovel our car. I told him that the car is all-wheel drive and there is no need for it. Come to find out he was an employee of the place or owner. He was accommodating indeed.

We came in late, and our keys were waiting for us. Our room was very clean, cozy, and cute! I loved the furniture! The room was very spacious. The flowers outside were beautiful! In the morning, we enjoyed an open window with fresh air and views of the mountain side. The water was hot for all 4 showers. Cooke City was such a nice place. We loved the gift shops and restaurants! I wish i would have been able to meet the staff, but they were very busy ensuring the rooms were clean!

Absolutely the best stay I have ever experienced, EVER! We were fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking their perfect high mountain town. It was breathtaking! I suggest trying to book the room above the check in desk for a romantic night with your special someone. Guys, this is where you take your better half when you're in the doghouse. Trust me. I melted, and I am a finickie, picky lady with too many opinions.nnSkip the other lodging and book this place, and I suggest doing it in advance!

I would give it a 4.5 if I could. It's convenient to the NE entrance of Yellowstone, and the room and bathroom were clean. It's also walking distance to several eating options. Not quite worth a five star rating in my opinion, but we would definitely stay there again.

Old facility, but they are trying. Clean, large room with comfortable beds, microwave and mini fridge. Scratchy towels.nnBubbles the Bison grazes in the parking lot everyday at sunset.nnEasy walk to food and side-by-side rental.nnFront desk provided rags so we could clean our gear.
