Gold Hill Hotel and Crown Point Restaurant

Gold Hill Hotel was an amazing and rustic experience and adventure! We absolutely loved it, it was our 1st time staying here! We (family of 4) stayed in the Miners Lodge Cabin for two nights. It was awesome, we communicated with some ghosts with an app called Ghost Hunting Tools there was action all over the property...and we truly loved eating at the Crown Point Restaurant, as well! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We had an amazing time. We were greeted promptly and politely at the front desk. Upon getting to our room we were pleasantly surprised to see the view from our balcony. The room is set up in such a way that you are transported back in time. We decided to grab a drink before dinner. Jett, the bartender was friendly and made delicious drinks. When we sat down for dinner, we were amazed. Our food was delicious, the service was fantastic. There was a young man bussing tables. He checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. He had such mature mannerisms, he was friendly and polite. We made a point to let the owners know just how impressed we were with everything, especially that young man.nnNow, the reason I only gave 4 stars. One of the side tables in our room was full of a previous guests belongings, which we left. The coffee pot was full of used coffee in the grounds basket.

Additionally, Our food was AMAZING! My husband had the Trip-Tip and Bacon wrapped Prawns, I had the ribeye and Lobster ravioli, then we shared a scoop of homemade ice cream. I highly reccommend the restaurant.

Enjoyed the history of the hotel. Comfortable room. Restaurant server and bartender came off as a bit grumpy, as if doing me a favor accepting my business. Don't plan to stay here again.

Had the best anniversary weekend at this quaint and nostalgic hotel. Enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the saloon and a fabulous steak and salmon dinner in the restaurant. Best customer service made this an anniversary to remember. Definitely a hidden gem.
