Found this location by chance and was very pleased with the nice host to allow us two campers set-up for 3 nights. Located a few places and did not allow tent camping for was overrun with off-road vehicles. This was a very pleasant location. Very quiet and up-close to the Walker River. Had impeccable restrooms and the shower had hot water immediately. Everyone was very nice and had a doggie play area for my Border Collie. Camp site had picnic tables and one rule was no fires. We were ok with that. The physical location was perfect for out geocaching trip.

On the bank of the walker River in Wellington NV. Wonderfully quiet with friendly people. The park is very beautiful and well kept.nA perfect getaway.

Be aware this is a 55+ only park. My husband and I drove 30+ minutes to go and check the area out and inquire at the park. First thing the lady at the office said was no kids when she saw my daughter, then explained it was a 55+ park. Well that would have been a great piece of information that should be on their website, which is not mentioned anywhere!

My husband and I lived here for about 6 months from August 2015 to February 2016. The park is located in a beautiful rural area of Nevada. The Walker River runs right through the park and almost every spot backs up to it.nnThe spot we had was spacious enough to accommodate a 30+ft 5th Wheel, and two vehicles. The park has basic amenities. There is a small laundry room and bath house. There is a great little Mexican restaurant/basic general store just down the road called Rosie's. The bar across the street is also clean and serves decent food. Grover Hot Springs State Park is an 1 hr away and worth the drive. Lake Tahoe is also only 1 hour and a half away.nnIf you like small town pace, wildlife, nature, peace and quiet, listening to the river at night and seeing a plethora of stars; then you will enjoy this area.

I have visited here on numerous occasions and had the best time. The park is always clean, the people are wonderful and the public restrooms and showers are spotless! I love to sit on the back porch looking over the water and watch the wildlife. I have seen kingfisher birds, beavers, owls, and even a mink that makes its home there.nI always have a wonderful time, talking to Les and Karen who look over the place. We have had great times hanging out, having dinner and telling stories.nI look forward to going again next year!
