I actually did not visit Walker River resort I drove right by it. The resort I hear is gorgeous very expensive for their little cabin rentals and kind of pricey for their trailers to park your rig. I hear that they charge an additional fee for your toy / car. We drove to Smith Valley to ride our side by side. That place is awesome pretty much like a free for all white sand all over the place then Sand Mountain has red sand which is so cool you could ride your side-by-side motorcycle quad or drive vehicle pretty much anywhere it's a great place to get away just about I would say 30 miles from topaz in the summer it's hot and in the winter it's cold be prepared for either.

We had a most enjoyable camping weekend at WRR 08/20-24/2020. We were parked at #105. The park is well manicured and I give the owner five out of five for this. Unfortunately there is also a downside. I am a keen fisherman and tried fishing at a few places along the river. In no time, I was covered in flies! Dreadful! Initially, I thought, the flies originated from the 'feed lot' a few miles from the resort. Soon I discovered all the dog 'poop' along the banks of the river. Obviously, owners not cleaning up after their dogs! Back at our trailer we experienced similar fly problems. Hundreds of flies!nWe headed for the WRR bar for a night cap at 7pm Sunday evening. Sign on the door indicates 'open 5 to 9'. Regrettably, barman chased us away! Through lack of support, he was closing early! For goodness sake! There were four of us. We would have increased his intake four fold in a few hours!nI guess WWR are losing the plot! It is a shame.

My wife, Judy Canet left a review a couple weeks ago and management didn't see her name so didnt know who customer was.It was in my name and we stayed on the end in #5 cottage. Had a great time and hope to come back in the spring. Plenty of trails for ATV riding. Nice to have a clean cottage to come back to after riding with a hot shower. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cottage was real comfortable. Hope I can get the same unit next time.
