Hampton Inn & Suites Carson City

Apparently a recently opened hotel, this Hampton Inn exceeded the usual high quality of the brand in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, and having a spotless room prepared for me.

This hotel is fine. I stay here when I have to work in that area. The rooms are clean enough. Customer service however, needs to feel a little more welcoming. I use a digital key all the time but ALWAYS pass the front desk and see front desk agents. They NEVER greet me, and just stare or completely ignore me as I walk by. Especially the woman who wears glasses, brow hair, sometimes pulled back, a little on the thick side, always sitting.....always there. I have to be the one to say hi and initiate a conversation, otherwise it is like I’m invisible. Not sure if she’s a manager or what but even so. She has never once greeted me upon enter or when I leave and I’ve stayed there a few times. When I do encounter her it’s like I am bothering her and she has a little bit of an attitude and can come off a little aggressive. I almost feel like she has something against me because her behavior is repetitive. I am a Diamond member and never got offered bottles of water, or acknowledged as a member, even when I was a Gold member. I don’t usually care about stuff like this but I am just giving an example and want to point out what happens, every time I come and stay. I stay there for the convenience of my work travels around the area. I’ve booked another stay with a Hampton Inn but in Reno just to avoid the cold service. It’s further than where I want to be and would have to make a longer drive but unless something changes customer service wise, staying there at the Hampton Inn in Carson City won’t be much of an option.

Was more than we expected, very nice room. Very clean. Staff was nice and price was great.

Good 3 night stay, decent beds, fairly clean, shower and sink could be upgraded. Pool was open and only was used by a very small group of kids. Staff was friendly and courteous and very helpful. AMPM accross the street, Taco Bell adjacent and fairly close (30 minute drive) to Reno and Lake Tahoe. Great place to set up camp and go to the snow up on the mountain.
