The Chama Hotel & Shops

I meant to write this over the summer, but better late than never! We stopped in Chama for a night on our way to backpack in the San Juans, and had a lovely stay here. It's an older building but it's charming and well-maintained. It was slow during our stay there, so they upgraded us to a bigger room that had a nook with a kitchen, sink, and fridge, which was really helpful for us. The town's pretty small, and thing's were especially slow due to covid, but we walked down to a local restaurant for a couple of drinks and had a nice time.nnThe kitchen was nice enough to make breakfast for us in the morning on our way out. If we're ever coming through here again, I'd love to stop for some of the ice cream they were selling in the shop. Cozy place and good people - I'd gladly stay here again!

Great location adjacent to the train station. Joe who is the owner is very helpful and informative and knows his trains. Rates are great and for being an almost 100 year old building it's still has style. Also the little bakery/kitchen has some hidden gems. If your tired and hungry this place can't be beat in all of chama.

This hotel is awesome. Staff is friendly and makes sure you have what u need. It is very lovely there.

Went to get ice cream on a hot day, pretty good.

Kind helpful staff cute comfortable rooms and dog friendly.
