Hello my name is Roger Browning and I am a rancher in Texas by birth right. I am also a writer from Texas and I believe that the same. I have written many books over the span of my life and it is one that brought me back through once again. I always stay here at this hotel. It is always kept clean and the staff is professional, but while being friendly to your every want and need. A class act to be sure and I will always stay here my visits to the fine city. The book that brought me back through, is 'The Reckoning of Rance.' A novel written that fit the setting of a ranch in Texas, where a family of inheritance must fight the cruel fight within it. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Stayed one night on my way to Utah and liked enough to stay again on my way back.

Hotel states face coverings required but 4 out of 5 staff not wearing...even the staff that handed us coffee...nor the 3 men I saw walking in the hall, 1 of which approached the desk . Had to ask the person checking us in to put one on. Also...this hotel has a common area outside with 10 chairs lined right up against the hotel room windows. 6 men were grilling, smoking, and hanging out right outside our room. I opened our curtains and they were right there?! Smelled the smoke and couldn't even hear our tv clearly. Then...there's the 5 roaches in our room. Anyhow.....never again. (Room was clean, bed comfortable, and good shower, but housekeeping in hallways not wearing mask either) Very disappointing. Hope we were not exposed to covid! BEWARE.

My room card key wouldn't let me in the side door so had to walk halfway around the building to the reception desk to get in. When I got to the room finally, found out the room was for handicap/disabled. The front desk left out that fact when I checked-in. Not cool. Once inside, the roll-in bench-shower floor drain had hair and what appeared to be blood on the floor. The room smelled strongly of minty, flowery cleaning odors... all night. Two days later I still have that smell burned into my nose. I spoke to Stephanie, a kind, sympathetic person, who said she would have the manager reach out, but no response. Only picked this place because supposedly high rating but I obviously was dumped. Keep driving, don't stay there. Save your olfactory senses and healthy. Oh, I did get a free breakfast bag. Bad experience.

Not bad for the price. It was clean and nice, the staff was really friendly
