There is so much goodness and very little badness. The room was very clean and beautifully renovated. Our king size bed was very comfortable. The building was painted and upkepted. The grounds are nice to walk around and enjoy. The check-in and service was easy and pleasant. Now for a little nit picking:) the floors in our room where a beautiful wood tile of light oak and very very COLD on the tootsie! Please add a rug or two in the bathroom. However I would absolutely stay there again as is and just remember to bring my slippers.
I loved our cabin! Great use of space and lots of character. Our cabin was clean, stocked, comfortable. Chris was helpful and the instructions were clear. We hiked on the property too.
BUYER BEWARE IF you are choosing or thinking of choosing this location for a future event I would NOT recommend it. We were slated to hold our son's wedding last year with the pandemic we postponed for this year thinking a year would be adequate delay to be able to move forward. Unfortunately that is not the case. We are being given a VERY difficult time by this venue in refunding our monies. Yes, we agreed to forfeit the $500.00 non refundable deposit but the remainder of funds are still being withheld. OUR contract states we as consumers are under obligation to county/ city regulations for noise ordinance only. Stone Mountain is unable to meet their contract obligations of 125 people which we understand and are willing to allow them time to find or be available to other groups/clients for the August date thinking six months notice would be sufficient.nAll other vendors hotels, catering, florists, rehearsal locations are refunding our deposits. Why not Stone Mountain?
Reasonable rates. Comfortable beds. Hospitable staff. Seemed like cabin wasn't checked prior to my arrival. Didn't like herding wasps out of the loft window. Front light bulb burned out at front door. Could use curtains in loft.
Jennifer from housekeeping was amazing. She always made sure to ask if we needed anything for our room and went out of her way to accommodate our needs.nGrounds were kept well and clean.nWe loved that the lodge is pet friendly. There was a doggie area with poop bags available for guests. We loved taking short walks with the dogs on the grounds.nVery friendly staff overall. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!
