Mountain Thunder Lodge

The location is great. But the staff and amenities were less than any other ski resort I have stayed at. We stayed in a one bedroom and the only place there was to store clothes was a small closet hooks beside the door and nightstands with one small drawer. I’m sure each unit is different.

Spent 5 days at the lodge and we had a great time. Everything you need is a short walk or drive away. The 4 O'clock trail runs to the back door of the resort. Great restaurants in miami street just a 3 block drive. I would definitely recommend!ud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudc4d

Stayed there 2 weeks ago. Beautiful place but...nMy 2 boys and I rented one of the townhomes. First night there, I woke during the night to freezing inside of the place. I knew I had set the temp on the thermostats correctly so I looked for blankets to add to my bed. No luck. After zero sleep and trying to stay warm I checked the thermostats and they said 62! I called the front desk and they sent a tech out to check the heaters. They found that someone prior to our arrival has left several windows cracked and the heaters couldn't get the place warm. He said he would let the front desk know. The front desk person then called me that morning to apologize and told me they would refund me a night's stay (we were there 6 days). I had to call the desk a couple other times for more coffee (they gave us 2 days worth), blankets, overhead light out in master, towels, book hot tub res, etc and was asked by the person answering about whether the heat was now working better. I said yes and that person said that for all trouble we had they would deduct a couple days Amenity Fees. I presumed on top of the Nights Stay credit I had already been promised.nUpon check out I asked the girl at the front desk how I would get the credit for the night returned to me since we had booked and fully paid through a travel agent. She went around the corner to ask the manager (whom I never saw) and came back to tell me that it would go on the Debit Card I had given them for incidentals.nAfter returning home, I checked my Bank Account. They credited me a whopping $40!! My travel agent has been trying to get the night credit they promised returned to me with no luck.n$40!? It should also be noted that they floor heater in the master makes a horrible repeating knock all night long. I had to play sleep music to drown it out each night and still slept poorly.nnWe spent thousands of $$ on this trip that went to Breckenridge and the Mountain Thunder Lodge. I am shocked at the lack of following through with their promise.nPS I didn't ask for a credit, they said they would provide one due to the nightmare of a first night we had. What a disappointment to receive $40, not impressed at all with your Customer Service and care of your guests.

Rented a two bedroom townhouse unit. Close to the gondola and main street area. Convenient location and plenty of room for 4 people.

Great place for families. The kitchen had all we needed to cook. The beds should be updated as they weren't very comfortable at all. It was very clean and the staff is so kind. There's a a bit of back yard that we were able to go sledding on. Beautiful views of the city and no car needed. There's a free bus and the lodge offers a shuttle. We will definitely be back.
