Crystal Peak Lodge

Unfortunately, I probably had the worst check-in experience of my entire life. I showed up at 9pm to a quiet lobby of what appeared to be a guest awaiting to speak with the receptionist who was busy speaking with someone on the phone. There is no indication for where to form a queue so I simply hung back about 7 or 8 feet until it was my turn to check-in. Suddenly, a couple of belligerent guests walk into the lobby cutting right through the line and start arguing to the clerk about a lost hot tub reservation, which I am pretty sure was a BS story they concocted to try and gain access to the hot tub immediately instead of having to wait until the actual time they scheduled for the next day. Anyway, I listen to this for a good fifteen minutes until I start thinking there is no way this is the actual lobby; it was absolute chaos. I ask the guy next to me if this is the main lobby, to which he tells me it is. So I go back to waiting because I have my family with me and I’m hoping to give them a great vacation (the photos looked great, and it seemed wonderful on paper). Now the belligerent guest realizes he’s been a complete pig and offers to let me handle my business with the receptionist so I step up and tell her that I need to check into my room. She tells me to wait a minute because she’s almost done helping the belligerent guy. She finishes with him by compensating him with a resort fee waiver. She finishes with me by thanking me for my patience.nI’m now so flustered by this whole endeavor that between the check-in and getting into my room, I lose my wallet. And the rest of the resort including the skiing did anything to pacify my rage. My five year old daughter (first time skier) was struggling to use the button lift and the trashy little lift attendant yells at her to get out of the way. This is a BUNNY SLOPE mind you! All this only makes it worse because I am conscious that my bad emotions are taking away from the joy that I am trying to give my children. All in all probably the worst vacation I’d ever had in my life. Ya, there were some pretty things to look at in Breckenridge, but who cares? The whole place is trash.

This was by far the best upgrade. We came here from another property and we were very happy with the switch. They were operating with a skeleton crew due to COVID-19, you have to check in at the neighboring property; but the room was clean and you could tell they sanitized it before our arrival. They offered mask and hand sanitizer upon entry. Amazing view, right off the gondola and bus route. Woke up to the sun rising and sunset behind the mountains.nSki in / ski out access with complementary ski lockers. Game room, family room, hot tub and patio with walking sevens restaurant. Will come again and recommend you do the same.

Outstanding views ,superb layout , doorstep acces to gondola as well as ski in right from mountin to lockerroom .

All facilities are shut down not due to covid but for renovations, still charging full price, great business strategy, its our second time here and the last one
