Clarion Hotel - Downtown - University Area

I usually love staying here but this is the second time they've closed down and it is affecting their reputation. Lots of essential employees have to travel for work and if you're in the hotel industry and keep closing we can't do our jobs either. I guess I'll just go to the Marriott

Immediately checked right back out and switched hotels.nEverything is out dated, our room was filthy, the bathtub looked like it had mold in it, the floors were dirty, the bedding was tremendously stained, and the smell was musty and god awful.nI booked this stay with a 5 day notice so they refused to refund any of my money.nThe only good thing about this place is the location.

It’s good because of its location. Now that they are closed hopefully they are taking the time to do some badly needed renovations!

This hotel was literally the grossest hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. My friend and I had to get a hotel last minute and since SUNY oneonta is not a vaccine site, all of the hotels were full except this one. The first room we were in smelled like cigarettes, there were stains on the walls and the dresser had mad scratches on it. Then we got moved to a second room that was LITERALLY THE SAME THING on the same floor so we requested a different floor. The third room was okay until we filled up the hot tub and there was hair and lint floating around in it, as well as a used towel hanging up with what looked like orange throw up on it. The next day I talked to the front desk requesting a discount because we were upset with our stay and I left my name and number. No one called. They charged us $139 for this terrible experience. I’d rather sleep on the streets of oneonta than stay at this hotel ever again.

Nice, clean property. I was delivering a trolley bus to Cooperstown and stayed here overnight. Tonya, the front desk clerk was great. She was cordial and helpful. Property is decent. The public areas and my room were clean. Diamond Choice Member.
