The Inn at Deer Meadow

I've stayed here at the Inn at Deer Meadow three times now. Marietta and her family are great hosts and friends. I love seeing the deer, playing with the pups, and of course the food. I slept like a baby even though I'm hundreds of miles from home. Thank you for such great stays!♡ If your thinking of booking just do it, you won't regret it!

The Inn at Deer Meadow was a wonderful find, and my wife and I feel so lucky to have chosen it for an overnight stay on a recent trip. The location was convenient to our route, but after staying there twice, we would gladly drive a lot further out of our way for the experience. The Inn is the best of all worlds - a short drive to shopping centers, but quiet and nestled in the countryside; luxurious and well-appointed, but surprisingly affordable. We only wish we had more time there, to enjoy the local hiking trails.nnThe hosts, Marietta and Harm, were wonderful, and check-in and checkout were a breeze. On our first visit, Marietta gave us the tour and provided several helpful recommendations for local restaurants, two of which we tried and enjoyed. Other than the tour and pleasant conversations at breakfast, the hosts left us to ourselves to enjoy the amenities.nnThe amenities at the Inn are first-rate. The house is beautiful and well-built, without a creaky floor to be found, and the decorating is thoughtful and refined. Being on a working farm, it is fitting that the home is decorated with a kind of rustic elegance, that manages to blend modern with antique. The suite is spacious and airy, with a working gas fireplace and necessities like a fridge, sink, and coffee maker. The king bed was absolutely heavenly, and provided some of the best sleep of our lives.nnIn the mornings we stayed, we were treated to two of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Marietta prepared delicious and unique meals made entirely from locally-sourced organic ingredients, many from nearby farms, that far exceeded our expectations.nnIn short, don't hesitate - if you're looking for a place to stay in the greater Albany area, look no further than the Inn at Deer Meadow. I bet you'll find a reason to stay again soon.

We absolutely LOVE this Inn and the owners. We recently completed our sixth stay in 4 years and are already looking forward to our next visit! The accommodations are spacious, bright, comfortable, clean and calming. The breakfasts are gourmet, and often include house grown organic produce. The setting is idyllic itself, and borders a nature preserve as an extra bonus. The town of Delmar offers several great eateries and borders Albany, with many more options. There are nearby hiking trails, waterfalls,lakes, historical sites, museums, and cultural activities. We travel often and have never found a B and B that equals thr Inn at Deer Meadow's anywhere. Additionally, the Innkeeper Marietta, and her family, are unfailingly welcoming and a joy to know. In a five star system of excellence, we rate this get-away a ten!

Off the wall B&B. Outstanding breakfast, extra large apartment (1100 sq ft). Quiet, located in country near to Albany, NY. Handicap access much above average. The host Marietta is extra nice and takes really good care of her guests. Recently stayed for 7 days and enjoyed every moment of the stay.

I cannot rave enough about this b & b! It is a lovely spacious Inn on the owner's horse farm right next to a nature preserve- 5 Rivers. The proprietor, Marietta, is the most gracious of hosts and makes the best breakfasts! A 5 ⛤ place to stay.
