Lincoln Bike Kitchen

This place is such a great asset to the community. Not only do they help kids get on bikes with lights, locks and helmets. They also help adults get on bikes. Volunteer for 10 hours and get a bike. If you can't afford repairs they'll fix it for free.

The Lincoln Bike Kitchen is an amazing place that is working to provide bikes to those who cannot afford them. They also fix bike up if people come in with them however if they are busy, it may take a few hours to fix it. Overall great place to be and if you want, learn how to fix bikes.

Got two of my bikes serviced and learned how to fix them myself for next time. They were very gracious. Replaced my handlebar grips and rear reflector without me even asking. Thanks Bike Kitchen! Without y'all I would currently be walking to work.

They're only open Monday evenings in the winter, so be sure to visit their website for hours. If you're a bike maintenance guru, they have the facilities for you to work on your bike yourself and give you the space you need to work. If you're like me and had no idea where to begin, they walked me through the basics and showed me not only what they were doing, but why and had me learn the techniques hands-on. A donations-run non-profit doing great work in our community!
