We had a horrible experience. We brought in my son's Mongoose bike we purchased at Toys r us for $120 with a flat tire. We asked to have the tire repaired and was talked into a spring tune up all totaling $46. My husband paid most of it up front but was told he would need to leave a small balance to be paid when the bike was finished. That should of been a red flag. Why couldn't you pay in full? When my husband went in to pickup the bike they said he owed another $140! They put on a bunch of unnecessary expensive parts and tried to tell us we approved it. No way would we spend $180 on a bike worth $120. Why would they not have called and asked if we wanted any of that extra work done and had a signed approval? Definitely a ripoff tactic. Then when my husband refused to pickup the bike till he spoke to me the owner said he was being confrontational. She said just take the bike! He said I am not and I don't want this for free. He ended up paying another $40. So $86 to fix a flat tire on a Toys r us bike. Don't get your bike repaired here!!! They will try to take advantage of you.nnReply to owner: you didn't knock off $100 you tried to charge us for work we never approved big difference! You should of done just the work that was originally quoted instead we ended up paying $40 more then originally quoted. Putting on expensive parts just to trap us into paying more is unacceptable. You should teach your staff better customer service so this doesn't happen to other customers. We will never frequent your business again.

Good shop to bring your bikes for quick service

Wonderful find in Fox Lake! Stopped in to find a more comfortable saddle before a century ride, and Renee was awesome! She knows the best products, and was able to get the ideal saddle for me--the same day, even though it wasn't in stock. Took care of a bike tuneup for our daughter's bike within 2 hours. In short, great personal service, and this shop is not trying to sell you the highest-priced stuff--their focus is providing quality products at reasonable prices. This is our bike shop for as long as we ride!

Very friendly staff. Walked right in and received help with my bike immediately. Low costs, and great customer service. Tyler was very kind and helpful in trying to find a new nut for my bike pedal. Rene, the store owner, was very understanding and helped me find out what was best for me and my bike. Walked out with a $12 charge on a good tuneup. Thanks LOCC!
