I had been looking for an adult electric bike online for a month, but was hesitant to buy something without trying it out and without knowing of a place that services all the different brands. Ironically, I saw that Pedego just opened in Wheaton a few blocks from our house, so I took my teenagers there with me to look around. The owners could not have been nicer and more helpful. They let us ride the bikes, they were so friendly...my son just said the other day “I might ride over to see Jeff and Andie to say hi”. We ended up getting a bike the next day from them, and it is SO fun to ride. Money very well spent, and I highly recommend the Pedego brand as well as the Wheaton shop. Great experience!
Shopping here was an absolute joy! The owners are very warm and friendly, and above all, know their onions when it comes to electric bicycles. I had been researching electric bikes on line and decided that a Pedego was the bike for me. I was delighted to learn that a Pedego shop was opening in Wheaton, IL. I was even more delighted that they carry a ton of stock! I was encouraged to take a test spin. After the test spin I purchased an Interceptor Platinum, and I couldn't be more pleased.
Excellent customer service. Able to test ride the etrike before purchase however have not tried it on the local bike path. The etrike takes some getting used too. I have ridden about 10 miles on pot hole city streets and the ride is a lot rougher than a regular touring bike. I have a Neuro condition that prevents me from riding my regular bikes. My kids have them now. I enjoy the freedom of not having to balance at a stop and the 250 watt motor has had enough power to get me up small hills despite my 275 lb. Frame. The etrike is well built and I chose Pedego for the quality and great warranty.
