Blue Shadows is a unique bed and breakfast. The balcony, king size bed, the kitchen, and large bathroom are really nice. What is extra special is the view of the woods and the pasture from the balcony. The nature trail behind the house leads through a wooded forest to a beautiful pond. The trails also lead to a rustic old barn. Greensboro has a Mexican Restaurant and the Pie Lab for eating at.nThe home is a historic southern style home.nIf you want a chance to get away from the big city for a quiet rural setting Blue Shadows is your place.

Very awesome place to stay if your in Greensboro. The guesthouse is really well equipped. Stayed for about 2 months and enjoyed it!

Lovely bed & breakfast. We stayed in a guest house and really enjoyed the room. They have an unbelievable nature trail attached to the property that surrounded a pond. Really fun and the dog on site was a great tour guide. The owner sat with us after and visited. Would definitely recommend

Mrs. May was such a delight. The guesthouse was like a small apartment that had everything you needed to feel comfortable. You could not ask for a more peaceful setting and the nature walk to the 10 acre pond was very relaxing. My wife and I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Mrs. May for your great hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at Blue Shadows during the last week of August, 2012. We had a delightful time. The owner, Ms. Janet May, is gracious and the accommodations were perfect. There is a large, comfortable sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, modern, spotless bathroom, and king-size bed in the huge bedroom. We also enjoyed the small walk out balcony off the sitting room. Ms. May cooked us a lovely breakfast every morning in the main house - and we so enjoyed her tour of Greensboro. We had every modern convenience in a very rural setting. Our apartment also had a large selection of pertinent reading material and books about the area and Rural Studio - very helpful as we planned our days.nnWe were a short distance from Greensboro, Newburn, Mason's Bend, and other sites were we toured Rural Studio designed properties. Those who commented before us about the lack of restaurants will want to know that a very nice Mexican restaurant has opened in town, and don't miss Pie Lab - the specialty cafe with delicious pie that has been written up in the NY Times!nnWe want to stay here again!!
