Hyatt Place Columbus-North

Brought my dog for the first time ever and it was great. Room was so clean. Staff super helpful. Places to eat right next door. Ordered breakfast as they arent doing a buffet style right now and it was just what I wanted. I will stay at Hyatt hotels from now on!! Thank you Hyatt.

Unfortunately this hotel is not suitable for getting actual sleep. I had booked two rooms and was put on the 3rd floor, considered a 'high room' thus you pay more, and both beds were beyond horrific. The room I had contained a so-called mattress that was literally busted out on one side. Upon inspecting, this had to be a box spring sitting on top of a base. There simply is no way that was a mattress. My friend in the other room had the same issue but did not want me to request a different room. Neither of us slept the first night, or the second night for that matter. They did move me to a different room the next day but unfortunately the bed in that room was no better. I've had disappointing stays at hotels before but when it comes to not being able to sleep for over 48 hours, this was completely unacceptable. There were other issues with the rooms - refrigerators did not work at all, grab bar in shower was not attached on bottom (please be careful), and the sheets in the first room I had were stained. I decided to give Hyatt a chance over Marriott but you get what you pay for. The only optimistic note I have to offer is concerning the staff. I do not have names in front of me while typing this but from the lady that checked us in, and especially the young lady that was overnight my first night - she afforded me awesome conversation when I couldn't sleep and wandered down to the lobby - to Tiffany that had me moved the next day - and the awesome lady handling everything my second day (not her department but nonetheless she was doing everything she could to make things right, not only for me but anyone staying). I cannot thank all of these remarkable women enough. They truly deserve recognition and I mean more than a 'thank you.' Thank you, ladies, for trying your hardest to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

This place is the black plage and should be avoided at all cost. Roaches were running the hall at night. At 3:30 am it was 85 degrees on my room. Called the front desk and there was nothing anyone could do to turn the heat off so we had to run the AC till it dropped to 60 degrees. I asked for refund and they they said it was my fault for not turning the heat off, their own people couldn't get the heat off. When challenged them Nick decided to cus me and threatened to call cops on me. Of you like sleeping in a room at 85 on mattress covered in a plastic, this is the place for you.
