Holiday Host Motel and Campground

Yesteryear done right. The owner has updated equipment in rooms and a clean, comfortable place. I wish I could've stayed longer. Last min, late night booking and he was gracious when he didn't have to be. ud83dudc4dud83cudffdud83dudc4dud83cudffd

Stayed here for the night. The first room we were placed in had something in the bed that started eating me immediately. The manager put me in a new room where there were, (thankfully), no bugs. but the scratching from the previous bites and the feeling of phantom bugs crawling on my skin made it another 2 hours before I could finally get to sleep.nnI went in the morning to ask for SOME kind of refund before I hit the road, and the guy gives me a five dollar bill. Thanks. Well, this is what that bill buys you: a warning to others who are unfortunate enough to need to stop in Sedona for the night - DON'T! Or, at least, not here.nnAs for the decor, it looks like a gulag prison; concrete walls painted powder blue to distract you from the idea that you've seen murder motels that provide more of an accommodating feel than this room. It almost feels like you've been sent here as punishment for past wrongs in your life. (But, what could you have DONE to deserve THIS?!?!)nnThe sheets all had holes in them, probably from the bugs or because they're the same ones the motel had when it opened in the 1920's, the pillows felt like sitting in the middle seat on a long flight and, oddly enough... there was a rusty NAIL in our bed! Perhaps that was a warning some other patron left so others wouldn't make the same mistake they did by staying there.nnMy suggestion, just sleep outside somewhere. You'll probably get eaten by fewer bugs.

Great service at this mom and pop motel! Nothing will beat their pricing as well. Great place just to rest up after a long drive. Ignore the bad reviews...I'm not sure why they are expecting a resort stay in the middle of West Texas at a low price. This is a small family owned business and they were very welcoming when I came to stay. Thank you!

It’s a bit easy to miss as you come into town, and may not be the biggest place, but the owner was welcoming in the late hours and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Can’t beat that for the rate they offer. Not all things need a modern touch, or need over decorating to achieve what you need especially when it comes to needing to rest from the road, a clean comfy bed and hot shower to go is perfect.
