I've been staying in fort Stockton for the better part of a year. I have had the opportunity to stay in almost every motel in town, until I found the Spanish trail lodge (I noticed it on the way out of town one morning) and I haven't stay any where else since. The staff have always been kind and humble (my kind of people) The rooms are clean and simple. The motel it self is set up in a way that engages in getting people out if their rooms, to cook or just to wind down from a long day. Long story short if your ever in town give this place a chance. Long term, short term or just passing threw for the night, I would highly recommend staying anytime.

As a female and traveling alone this time I needed to stay somewhere safe but I didn’t want to compromise my want for coziness! This gem def made my long trip worth my short stay (got about 6 hours of rest). The price was unbeatable for a squeaky clean and comfortable room. The perk for me.. a comfortable bed with actually bedding on it! Sometimes when traveling I have no choice but to pull over and get a room but i get so disappointed to get in the room and they have those plastic thin blankets with plastic pillows! I’m happy to report Spanish Trail as one of the most comfortable short stays I’ve had in a while. Wish there was a chain of these! Thank you for caring about your tired customers looking for a place to rest our head! This over exceeded what I thought of local motels! Your a gem! I’ll come back!

Clean, updated 1950’s feel. Daughter and father owner/managers. Very kind and helpful. I love the old roadside feel and the Spanish design. Close to downtown. We’re on our way to Arizona and had RV repairs needed so only spent one night but would have stayed longer if needed. Much better than I-10 roadside hotels.

Patty and Jerry (father/daughter owners) made us feel right at home in this cute little motel! The Spanish Trail Lodge was very clean and well-decorated. The beds were comfier than ours back at home!nnWiFi, cable TV, coffee, hot showers, and a picnic/gazebo area for grilling and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. It snowed during our trip, making it extra special :)nnPerfect for a family trip or a couples getaway. About 1 hr 45 min north of Big Bend National park.nn10/10 recommend!

The perfect, privately owned local motel that makes travel a joy. Drive past the McDonald’s, and the Holiday Inn, by the interstate, and Fort Stockton is way better. When the owners, who have taste and style, are personally cleaning the rooms, this is what you get. A very tastefully decorated, clean, quiet, motel with comfortable beds, quality sheets, and wonderful attentive owners.
