The Olive Hotel

From pictures of this hotel and because I love the older hotels, the style, elegance although they're renovating it which is sad. However, the new rooms are gorgeous, everything else was fine and I did love my experience here for the first time coming back from walking to my car this morning, the gentleman sitting at the front desk decided to question me, and grill me after I walked back in as if I was just some random person walking around the hotel or didn't have a room and as if I was under police investigation which killed the whole experience of staying here for me! It was uncalled for, unprofessional and I am dressed in Corporate Business attire for interviews this morning. I am extremely disappointed and he needs to be educated in customer service.

Horrible, do not go yet. Stay away. I wad way overcharged, staff is very unprofessional, and was charged even more after checkout, which I did early due to conditions. Understanding renovations because I’ve gone through then myself I do work for hotel. Usually I would never do this but, after walking in and talking to the front desk agent he informed me they were having to break into the rooms because the key reader wasn’t working. Accepted that and also helped them fix the issue. didn’t have to break into my room key reader all worked.nnFound the room to not be cleaned. And it was a renovated room. I checked out early the next day. To find that the GM didn’t check me out and was planning on collecting my money for the entire stay. Because I’ve worked in the industry for 13 years I know what peoples motives could be. I believe he would have collected the entire stay with no second thought. After calling to ask why I wasn’t checked out, I was authorized a second amount of A crazy amount of money that was nowhere close to the amount of money I was going to spend on the hotel itself even for the entire stay. I was authorized almost $1000. For a $300 authorization. I received my money back. But the manager tried to change his understanding of the English language which really bothered me. The unprofessionalism and lack of concern for the guests is out right horrifying. I voice my concerns to corporate I was told I was going to receive a call but never did. Which is another reason I thought this needed to be put on the website. I would wait until after the renovations have been completed to ever consider this property with the name called the olive it does not show up on your bank statements with the correct name it shows a Holiday Inn. This is not the standards I was taught by IHG.

I loved my stay there. They have a indoor pool, gym, jacuzzi. The staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend

Misty was so accommodating to my needs and super understanding of my personal losses this past year as she has lost a parent and a child too! Beds are like clouds, I was told. Will come back after stay and add more content

Three rooms, three nights...thankfully we where out of the hotel more than we where in. Place is a mess right now with remodeling. Hopefully it will be a far better place when everything is done. Rooms where remodel complete with new beds, etc...problem is whoever did the work took short cuts and installed things all wrong..hope Holiday Inn is getting a big discount! They will need that money to fix things the right way!
