Would not recommend the pharmacy, the store looks clean but the service was extremely slow.
The best Pharmacy ever
Just got back from an appointment at my obgyn. Last I came by this location the pharmacist told me that my Medicaid did not cover the antibiotics that were prescribed to me and that I had to pay 68.00$.. When I asked her for the generic off brand she gave me a weird face and responded that that WAS the off brand. I declined and waited till my next visit to see what the deal was. I ended up just getting it written to Walmart because my practitioner told me that I shouldn't go back to a location that is giving me issues with my Medicaid and overcharging my prescription.nIt ended up only being 4 dollars and some change. Don't know why I got treated like this but needless to say I will not be coming back.nnPharmacist had long brown straight hair, all I could really remember about her tbh.
On today, May 30, 2017 at 5:05 PM I came in to Walgreens on Loop 323 and Highway 64 in Tyler Texas. I came in to pick up a prescription for my husband and upon arrival the lady in the pharmacy told me that The prescription was put back because it had been over seven days so they would have to refill it. I told her that was fine and asked how long it will take. She stated that it would take 15 minutes this conversation was had approximately at 5:10 PM. At 5:30 PM I went back to the counter and asked about the prescription to see if it was ready. The prescription still was not ready and the young lady stated that it would be additional time until it was field. I then waited another 30 minutes and went back to the counter and check the prescription again and it still was not ready. At this point I have become frustrated with the process because I find out that the prescription was actually called in on Friday. And then I find out the prescription is only for two vials of insulin that can take a few minutes to fill but instead has taken nearly an hour. The last time that I went to the counter I was waited on by a gentleman and he could see that I was frustrated he asked me who I was picking up the prescription for. I told him who I was picking the prescription up for he stated that the prescription was not ready. I told him when I initially got there the lady told me it would be 15 minutes until the prescription was ready and it is been an hour. He turned around and asked the young lady who would initially helped me what the problem was and she was smiling as if it was something funny and stated that the prescription was waiting on the pharmacist to do something to send it through. I found that this lady was very unprofessional and unacceptable. When you work in a place such as Walgreens in the pharmacy you must display great customer service for the patient and their needs. You shouldn't smirk and smile at the fact that a patient has been waiting for almost an hour for a prescription that you ensured them would be ready within 15 minutes. If you see that the prescription is not going to be ready within 15 minutes you need to call the patient back up to the window and advise them that it won't be ready. This will alleviate frustration up on the patient and also frustration for the person that's actually working there. I found that this service was very unacceptable, unprofessional and it really makes me not want to use the Walgreens pharmacy again. I hope that this review will be helpful and that you will put in place some type of customer service training for the associates that are behind the counter. Having the experience working with difficult customers and people in general on a daily basis for the last 10 years I can honestly say that you have to leave self out of it and focus on what is the best thing for the person that you are serving. If you were unable to do this then you're in the wrong field and should seek employment elsewhere..
I have always found the store very clean and orderly. The staff is friendly and helpful in the store and the pharmacy. I used to use CVS until there were so many instances where there would be a 2 to 4 hour wait to fill a script......unacceptable!
