My family and I recently went on vacation here it was AMAZING! The staff really makes sure that each cabin is well taken care of and clean. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We booked another trip at check out we loved it so much. Lots of local things to check out if you have kiddos. Excited to go back!

Super-amazing time here with my little brother. Our stay was one of our favorite parts of a motorcycle trip of a lifetime. They took SUCH good care of us. Extremely friendly towards motorcyclists. Immaculately clean, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and extremely family friendly. Everyone we saw was having a GREAT time, including us. Highly recommended for a luxurious yet rustic stay in the Leakey area :)

My husband & I spent a weekend at River Bluff Cabins that were clean & very comfortable. Our porch was on a bluff above the Frio River but just a short walk down to the river’s edge. The property was very well maintained & lots of extras like swings around a fire pit, play area for kids, tubes & a swimming pool. The cabin also had a small but plenty of room to cook meals although we ate out all meals in Leakey (Mill Creek Cafe & Bent Rim Grill). We hiked Lost Maples & Garner which were both a short distance away from our cabin. We will definitely return sometime!

If you want to charge me a premium price, I expect you to follow through with amenities and service.nnFor +$200 a night, I should get towel service. No towels, really?nnFor +$200 a night, I shouldn't get a single roll of toilet paper in my room, because 'people steal them'. (their words, not mine)nnFor +$200 a night, I should get ice.nnInstead, at the premium price, I was nickel and dimed for every little thing. $7 for 4 pieces of wood. $3 a bag of ice. Kayaking? That costs $49 extra. I'm not sure what the $20/day 'resort' fee was for, but it wasn't for any of those things.nnLet me be clear, I am not a bargain-basement vacationer. I've been in some of the most amazing hotels in the world. I have also stayed in a Japanese pod hotel. There are different expectations for different price bands.nnLet's be honest about the good stuff:n- Beautiful property.n- Very friendly, lovely staff.n- Nice cabins.nnBut as nice as this is, it doesn't outweigh the poor value. And the approach this establishment takes with it's customers is not what I expect from an establishment that charges a premium price.nnI get the impression this is a business that is a victim of it's own success. I did not feel like an honored guest staying here - as nice as the staff was, and I want to be clear that they are very nice - but I always felt reminded that it was a bit of an inconvenience if I needed anything. Indeed, on one night there was nobody even there to get us toilet paper, as staff was MIA.nnTo conclude: A beautiful riverside property! Decent enough cabins. And lovely, friendly staff. But at the end of the day, I would never stay here again. At $700+ for three nights, I expect to feel welcome, well attended, and well-serviced. Unless the management takes a hard look at their approach to servicing customers, I will not return.

Quiet, secluded (March). Weather was cool but not too cool to kayak. Loved the serenity.
