La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham-Texas City I-45

If I could give negative stars I would. They cancelled our reservation on us because they overbooked at 9 o’clock at night “claiming”, they’d been trying to get a hold of us all day but did not have our number. That was a flat out lie because they sure had NO PROBLEM calling earlier in the day at 1 o’clock stating they had to give us a different room.nAnd the little girl Stephanie was very rude and condescending. She made it sound SO EASY to just go find another room at 10 o clock at night with a child that you’ve been on the go all day with. Or JUST go home it’s that easy. Completely inconsiderate of customers needs.nnLa Quinta we travel a lot for my daughters activities and you just lost a customer as well as everyone I know that we travel with.nnStephanie hope it was worth it.

So, my suite was very nice and the service was super friendly but the conditions were not good. There was dirty underwear and socks in my room I also did not receive a breakfast on there website it does lead to that but it takes a long time to find it. They served me with the worst possible substitute a granola bar water orange juice and silverware. Silverware really? That’s it on my experience I would not recommend this location there are some other hotels right next to it I would check out before going to this one.

Update:nCustomer service was good and would up the stars for it. As still mentioned there was a line made already so they only had to wait to be called out for which them could avoid any confusion on check-in as there is no need for a line formed or just have them form one line.nnThe review is still low is because of fridge not being a long week hotel just a 1 night and pillows were rough and not comfortable which are going to be checked on so could be better I hope.nnStill not something I expected but they really show that they trying so hope all is good.nnThank you.nnPrevious review:nnNo don't see me staying here again.nnSmall fridge, so nothing long-term. No information on incidental fee of $25 which they should have to be required to tell you at start and hope it is implemented so would avoid any of this issues or have more better signage. If that doesn't happen then not worth staying at for this case.nnThey don't follow the mask policy that keeps announcing on the intercom on requiring masks inside.nnAnother suggestion better way on handling high volumes of people especially if they are already set in line. If they are in. Line already. They only have to wait till called and let the main line be for customers checking in that are not in that particular group as it confuses everyone and then you are waiting and running your DOT hours that don't have to.nnOut of all the 1,500+ hotels I stay with an average 200 per year, this was a bad check in of confusion and a decision of not staying at location. If it wasn't for the 24 hour cancellation I would have cancelled at that moment I went inside the hotel.

Recently been in the area for business and was staying in this hotel, was served by a lovely lady I believe her name was Stephanie. Anytime I had an issue or needed to ask a question she helped out right away. On the way to my room she noticed I was missing a pillow and towel, not that it bothered me but she brought me one right away and apologised, saying that due to spring break things where a little chaotic. She’s a wonderful member of the time. I hope my next stay will be just as pleasant. I hope the rest of the staff are just as nice!!!

The staff was amazing helped out anyway they could. Samantha the night clerk is a loving and very caring person I ever met. The hold staff was great I stayed there two weeks in a king suite very beautiful.
