Econo Lodge At The University

Just want to start off by saying I was never able to stay at the hotel, but over 2 months later and I'm still dealing with this. I was booked for one night 2 months ago and when I showed up, they said that I couldn't stay because I didn't meet the required minimum age. That would have been all good and fine if they had just told me that before I booked but oh well. They claimed I would be refunded in 7-10 business days. 3 weeks later, still nothing. I call back and it turns out the refund was never processed. I wait another 2 weeks and it's finally refunded back to my card.nnFast forward another month and I have forgotten about all of this, I am charged for the same price that I was originally booked for seemingly no reason! I was already refunded and never even stayed so I have no idea why I was processed. The only reason that they deserve any stars is that the lady that originally refunded me was very kind and is the only redeeming thing about this hotel.

Arrived at 11pm last night, checked out at 9:30 am todsy. The room was $89 + a $100 cash deposit, the lady working this morning checks me out, walks back to the room and checks it out to make sure it's fine which is was because we left it like we arrived and even straightened the beds back up.nShe gets my deposit envelope out with my cash, has me sign I received my deposit back and I checked out and left. Thinking it was a good place and the wife even said I'd stay here again.n2hrs later I check my bank account while sitting at my dads house visiting him, all of a sudden I see 2 new charges from the Econo Lodge for a total of $425 plus the orginal charge last night of $89. Tried to call the hotel with no answer, called the bank and they said something was definitely up since it was 2 separate charges on top of the orginal and was done 2 hrs after I left.nI go back and the lady in the front is already being rude, I showed her on my phone they charged more after I left and then she says I'm not showing you checked out when she was the one that checked me out and gave me my deposit back, she says no the only charge is 89$ and I said no it's not and then showed her the phone with 3 charges showing and asked for her manager or his number, she wouldn't give me a number or contact him for me so then I asked for her name which she refused.nTomorrow if my money isnt on my account I'm filing a police report, especially since I'm seeing other reviews here of similar problems from this hotel. I would have stayed at this hotel again but not after having my hard earned money stolen.nDo not stay at this hotel unless you are paying cash 100%.nIt's funny she is the one that checked me out, walked to the room, gave me my deposit back but then when I return 2hrs later she says she didnt check me out and tried to act lost and like I was dumb. You have a problem in the front office there obviously and I'm not done calling it out by far!!nI will get my $425 back and I will make sure everyone knows what is going on in this hotel, I'm contacting Choice Corporate, Econo Lodge Corporate, local police department and that's just a start!!!!.....

If I could give it 0 starts I would! The hotel has NO elevator and There’s ONE office for 2 different properties.nI originally booked the Suburban because I was told by morning auditor that it was pet friendly. When I arrived I was told my booking info got sent to the Econo Lodge (funds has already been taken from me). She proceeds to say “we know it’s not your fault I can put you in a econo lodge room but it’s not pet friendly” so I give her $50 pet deposit and an ADDITIONAL $100 deposit (ud83dude44). The manager comes and says “I wouldn’t have gave you the room” I’m like “huh? Wym” he goes to address that the econo lodge is not pet friendly (mind you I booked for suburban). I felt the comment was very distasteful but after a long day I’m just like okay it’ll work I promise to them that my small dog will not mess up anything. Later that night we get a knock on the door about my dog barking and the tv being loud. The booking costs was $224 dollars so after all the fees (almost 400 for ONE night) I felt HIGHLY offended and unwelcomed so we decided to drive home (3 1/2 hr drive) the manager argued that I would not be getting a refund. He then calls the police on my boyfriend saying he will trespass us if we didn’t leave the property.nnThis hotel does NOT require masks I was upset that the manager came up to the room and was standing closer than 6 ft without to us without a mask I felt extremely uncomfortablennThere were blue and black stains on the top duvet on both bedsnnManager was very rude and standoffish

Very unprofessional business. Front desk people were really rude. They don’t keep their website up to date and were very rude and continuously told my friend they would not refund her. Had to sit out front and argued with them to refund her. We drove 3 hours and spent 80$ on the room just for them to tell us we couldn’t room there cause we weren’t over 21 when the website never said we had to be. We even called and they confirmed my reservation knowing my age. Then turned around and insulted me and my friends about our ages.

Room we had was fully remolded! Beautiful tile in bathroom. Spacious room! Clean no creepy crawlers!
