Windmill Acres (09/25/2019)
This was one really cool tractor show. It was easily twice the size of what I expected. The different events and stuff they had going on was just wholesome fun. It turned out that this was something That can be hard to find. Just a good time that you can take the whole family to and have fun Perry you don't have to worry about a bunch of foul language krapp going on. Everybody in the organization was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait till next year. Now if I could just win that tractor they were raffling off.....

One of the best organized event that everyone should attend. Very family fun place and also very educational

We have been there many times before and we love it. We have a show the third weekend in September of each year and they treat you like family.

The tractor fair occurs on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday in mid-September. People come from as far as Mississippi, bringing antique farm equipment to display. On the grounds they have permanent displays such as the museum, a blacksmith shop, a mill, a church, and a post office that is official for 1 1/2 days each year. There's also a modern meeting hall, with a kitchen. Like the church, the meeting hall can be rented for events.nBack to the tractor fair:nAlong with static displays, both permanent and those brought in for the fair, there are active demonstrations such as a sawmill, a hay baler, a rock crusher, one of the big steam engines, and an ice cream maker (samples available for a donation). Activities range from hands-on such as pumping water using old water pumps, hand-powered 'cordless' drills, and shelling and grinding corn, to the tractor pull and tractor rodeo. There are also vendors on that weekend, selling anything from food to antiques and in-between. This is a great opportunity to see history in action and a great deal of fun. It's a great family activity (one family has a reunion here each year, camping on the grounds with the members and vendors).
