This was an incredibly beautiful place, so nice that we didn’t want to leave the cabin! We went to Laurel Spring Falls, downtown Boone, and grandfather mountain, all three of which I would highly recommend, but be prepared for about an hour one way to get there! (Welcome to mountain driving.)nnThe cabin itself is absolutely wonderful. Hot tub is huge and relaxing, especially with the lights off and staring up at the night sky full of stars. My only, and very minor, disappointment was in the quality of the furniture in the common areas. The sofas by the TV are not very comfortable at all, and there is nothing to sit on around the fireplace outside.nnMy recommendation is to skip the TV (that’s not why we go to the mountains anyways!) and bring some folding chairs for the fire pit. Other than that, this place was absolutely wonderful and better than described in every single way. We had four families, totaling seven adults and five children, and we had plenty of space and wonderful things to do on the property.
