The absolute worst service on Wrightsville Beach. I do not recommend going to this restaurant. We are locals here and try to support local businesses all the time but this restaurant is very poorly managed and most of the wait staff is definitely the D team unless you have Charlotte. Charlotte is is top notch And should go work for one of Ash Aziz restaurants. He would never let his restaurants be ran as poorly as the East Oceanfront at the Blockade Runner! I do not recommend dining here, I would much rather go to the holiday inn as they take care of there locals and patrons.
The resort was nice, but looked nicer in the photos. You're paying for the ocean front. I'm not sure how it compares to the hotels in the surrounding area, but it's nice. Average, but clean and the front desk was courteous.
This looks like a nice getaway spot with personality... Will be looking into accommodations for the upcoming season

I've stayed at the Blockade Runner many times over the past 10 years or so and it is still my favorite hotel. I would prefer to give 4.5 stars instead of 5 because there were some issues with the room and I've had those same issues on previous stays. But the response from the staff was immediate with a more than satisfactory resolution. The beds are very comfortable - a little bit firm which is my preference. Great views whether ocean or harbor view. I love their food and the grounds but it is the staff that I find exceptional.
