Wrightsville Beach is the beach town part of Wilmington, North Carolina. Wrightsville is a very popular tourist town in North Carolina and is a great place to go with family and friends. There are multiple piers, along with a bunch of restaurants along the coastline that allow for a good time. The beach is also filled with rental houses and condos, along with hotels. The only downside to Wrightsville is that the parking is very slim and costs money everywhere. The beach also gets crazy crowded, crazy fast so you have to plan your time accordingly.
Love the atmosphere just as much as their coffee and macha tea.
We visited early on a Friday morning and there were not a ton of people. We were able to maintain social distancing on all sides. No one was wearing a mask except us. The parking was fine because we got their early. It was $18 for 8 hours, we paid by phone via the Internet. The beach was clean and the water was nice; it’s not Florida or the Caribbean but it’s clean enough to feel comfortable to swim in. It was just the little in-state, covid-safe beach day we needed.
Very fun, a bit crowded but worth going to
My family had our family reunion in Wilmington, NC this year and we visited Wrightsville Beach because it was in close proximity to the hotel. Strong waves, beautiful scenery. The shore is full of pebbles/rocks that can feel very uncomfortable for your feet, which is why I rated 4 stars. Would still return!
