Express Inn and Suites

Place was clean, but had to ask for remote for the TV and fridge did not get cold. Otherwise was comfortable and quiet.

Due to my budget this is the only place I could stay and other facilities had no vacancies. A few years ago I stayed there for about 6 months till I got my finances in order. During my time there I felt hindered and my privacy slightly being violated. We could not even stand outside our door in our bare feet and we were told many times to never leave the door open even with the air conditioner off. It seemed that they always made a point to pry into your business. But that is not nearly as inexcusable as my experience with this facility on January 30th of this year. My job requires me to travel and I arrived back in Gastonia on January 30th 2021. So, against better judgment I went back to this motel to stay for a few days and I reminded them that my fiance was disabled. She is on oxygen due to COPD and emphysema. They informed me at that time that I could not stay there because of her disability and refused to rent to me for just a few days and that they didn't want to take the responsibility for her being disabled. I am quite positive that their disposition and discriminating against a disabled person is against the law and present an opportunity for a lawsuit for discrimination and obviously their demeaning thought process. This was the fifth hotel that I tried and being on a Saturday evening when I arrived in town this was my last resort so they discriminated against her disability and we had to sleep in my SUV in under 30 degree weather because we could find no other place to stay. And with her health conditions and needing oxygen 24/7 just put her life at a higher risk. Stay tuned!!!

I have never heard of it being illegal to not tell them or give an Id for someone just making sure I get in my room okay and safe. Plus being there was a bag of rotten meat of some sort in the fridge. Room was about as low key as you can get but really what was aggravating was I was quoted a rate and once I got there I was told ohh man that rate is only valid in the morning time so you'll have to pay 72 dollars for tonight and come back in morning . Completely breeching the line of invasion of privacy I do not like it at all.

Don't stay here if you're coming to Gastonia NC or any of the Hotels of 321. They let the drug addicts, dealers and the homeless stay at theses places and it brings in the not so nice people. Yes I know that everyone needs a place to live but not if it's your life in danger. Stay at the hotels of New Hope Rd. Or Cox Rd. exit, they are your better choice if staying in Gastonia.

There was no tissue in the room and even though the heat was on it was freezing because their is a huge opening under the room door you can see outside if you look under the door and the heat started to blow out air after being in the hotel for only about an hour and the rooms could have been cleaned alot better.
