Staff was super friendly and helpful. The receptionist also gave us recommendations of stuff to do in Ashville as well as a visitors map. Our room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and neat. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Evening receptionist tried to get us to stay in a room that smelled overwhelmingly of maple syrup then was going to charge an upgrade free to put us in a non smelly room (they refunded after lots of confusion on their part). Receptionist also seemed to have a cold which was uncomfortable during covid times. Rooms feel very dated, beds are old, pillows are lumpy/rocks. For the $150 for the night we paid I'd just go sleep at reputable chain hotel. Only gave one extra star since the receptionist in the morning was incredibly helpful and friendly and we had the window open without much road noise
I was disappointed in my 3 day stay here. Other than what I assume were clean linens and towels, the room looked like it had been a while since it had been cleaned. Luckily we brought our own cleaning supplies. The bathroom had a dirty tub with mold around the drain, there were stink bugs found near the kitchen area , sticky dark spot and dust on the recliner not to mention the carpet had multiple stains and had a musty smell. The tv had a poor signal and last but not least one of us stepped in feces in the stairwell....really? We drove up from Florida and sadly it was during a holiday. If we had of been able to locate a vacancy else where we certainly would have left. We left this room cleaner than we found it ..... it does have a great location and is very accessible to everything but that’s just not enough for us. We will not be going back to this establishment.
No in room coffee maker. Old pizza crust on the floor as the room had not been properly cleaned. On the bright side the shower had plenty of hot water.
3 rooms later we had a nice room. 1st room smelled like a weed grow house. What's funny is the employee said that room has been empty for 21 days. The other two room were just minor items second room the air conditioner vibrated, 3rd room the TV wasn't programmed.. All the rooms were clean though.
