Mike's Bikes STL

Took my track bike in for tune up. After the guys at Mike's worked on it, it's ridden better than ever. This is truly the only place to take your bike in STL if you ride track/fixed gear.

I bought a pair (2) cage bearings from Mike's Bikes STL on Nov. 4, 2020. The charge was $16.50 (pre-tax). The same cage bearings (identical manufacturer and specs), can be bought in a set of 10 for $7.25 at Target.nnIn summary,nPrice per cage bearing at Target: $0.72nPrice per cage bearing at Mike's Bikes STL: $8.25nnThat is a mark-up of 1,038%!nnI believe in supporting local shops. Mike's Bikes STL has been very helpful in assisting me through prior bike projects I have undertaken. I really like this shop! Just be aware that their prices may be higher relative to the big box stores/online retailers.

I dropped my son’s bike off because I tried to change the back brake cable and replace the brake pads.Long story short it didn’t go as planned LOL. I received a call about a week after I dropped off the bike and the person told me, I needed front and back brakes mind you I was just working on the bike so I know the front brakes were good. Next my rear wheel was bent LOL. With all the MYSTERY REPAIRS TOTAL WILL BE 165.00. I KINDLY WENT AND GOT THE PICKED UP THE BIKE. That same day I dropped off the bike at BICYCLES OF KIRKWOOD!!!!! I JUST PICKED THE BIKE UP AND MY BILL WAS A TOTAL OF 60.00 I WOULD UPLOAD THE RECEIPT IF POSSIBLE... Guess what he charged me for a BIKE TUNEUP!!!!! MIKES BIKE SHOP IS A RIPOFF!!!!!!

The guy there was very polite and understanding. They easily serviced my needs,8 need minor repairs to my wheelchair

Nice locally-owned shop, always honest and fair pricing. Keeps my daily commuter running just right. New to the area but will be back.
