This historic building has high ceilings, comfortable shares spaces, a resident outdoor stray tabby. The staff are friendly and happy. The other guests are welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone. Rooms are mixed and late check ins will need the code for the front door to get in. Close to a uptown or canal Street tram. Walking distance to the many coffee shops on magazine Street. So don't bother with the burger joint for breakfast. ud83dude04

This is definitively one of the best Hostels I have ever stayed at and beats staying at a Hilton! The atmosphere is very lively and upbeat. The beds/rooms/amenities were very warming as well. Also convenient location to the streetcar, Ww2 museum and downtown. The owners also seemed like great people who were very accommodating! I can’t wait to come back and stay at this wonderful location!

Very nice place. Definitely a good hostel in a charming old house. Nice patio, front porch to chill out. Good vibes. Robert was very helpful even if I walked in late doing check in on the phone.

It has a lively feel and you can easily tell people very care to make it a very special experience. I’m going to extend for one more night or even two. Thanks a lot guys you rock!

Auberge is one of the better hostels I’ve been to. It’s conveniently located a block off of St. Charles and a few blocks from Magazine Street. From St. Charles you can take a street car down to Canal St., Bourbon St., and the French Quarter. The Garden District is also not far from Auberge.nnThe hostel itself has a beautiful interior. It’s an old building that’s been refurbished. There’s a games/music/movie room, a nice, fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor common space, and even a sun room with books and a computer.nnI stayed in the dorm room, which had fairly comfortably beds. Everything was clean and guests were pretty chill overall. There are smaller rooms upstairs. One communal bathroom with a nice shower is on the bottom floor; two other larger bathrooms are on the second.nnThe staff was friendly and helpful. They even involved my friend and I in some activities and took us down to Bourbon St. with them one night. For the price this place is an absolute gem. Definitely recommend staying here while you’re in NOLA.
