La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham McDonough

This was the worst stay imaginable. The staff was not welcoming and they looked like guest so it was difficult finding an employee when problems arose. The stay was for Valentine’s Day and we so happened to get the last room available. We didn’t know that the room an accessibility room. The room smelled like the elderly, cigarettes, and urine. We had to go buy candles and wall plugs to tolerate the smell. The shower in the bathroom was similar to a pool shower. There wasn’t anything separating the shower from the bathroom floor so water covered the entire floor. And the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. The pillow cases were covered in stains and we had to pick up new ones at the front desk. The next day we asked if we could change rooms and after a lot of talking about being fully occupied a room magically became available. We switched rooms but didn’t know it would only have one bed knowing we booked a double bed. It wasn’t a problem .. the room was definitely better than the first and we could shower which was a huge relief. However the major problem was seeing makeup stains on the sheets and the comforter. Seeing how we’re in the middle of an pandemic, and it was Valentine’s Day ... the bedding should’ve been replaced after each guest. No telling what bodily fluids we were laying on. And the replacement sheets we had to pick up had hair on them so we ended up just sleeping in our clothes. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Lol

Had a great stay here after our house sold and we needed somewhere to go until our rental was ready. Even our dog loved it. We felt safe with all there precautions. The maid and the front counter staff gave great service. Glad to be a loyalty member.

We had a great experience. The hotel was really nice and clean. It was great they accepted pets and close to I75.

ANTS! ANTS! ANTS! ud83dudc1c ud83dudc1cnThis place is infested with ants! We rented a room from Hotel Ant Bed Inn. I first noticed an ant on the door when I got into the room. By the next morning, I had to call maintenance to come and spray my room down because ants had overtaken the bathroom. It was awful. That same day, I was moved to another room. The next morning around 6am, I was awaken to my toddler screaming. I turned on the lights and our sheets and belongings were covered in ants. My 18 month was bitten very badly. My legs and back had ant bites everywhere. My baby boy was running a fever so I took him to the doctor right away.nnI complained to the housekeeper and front desk clerk (whom were very helpful); however, there was nothing they could do. I packed all of our belongings in large trash bags to take them to the laundromat and dry cleaners to get rid of the ants. My son and I who both have long hair had to go to a local salon to get our scalps washed and cleaned. As the lady was washing my hair, ants were falling into the water. I had to get my car detailed due to ants getting into the car.nnAs furious as I was, I calmly called the General Manager, Jack Russell, to express my concerns. I explained to him what had happened... he never asked once how I or my child were doing after the incident. He showed zero concerns for our well-being. Instead, he cut me off as I was speaking, and spoke in a tone as if he could care less. He then offered to refund one night’s stay as if that would take care of the issue. He never asked if he could refund me for my troubles or for the doctor’s visit or anything. I tried reaching corporate several times; however, they continually transferred me to dead end departments. I am very unhappy with the way things transpired and have consulted my legal team for further actions.nnPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, save yourself the trouble! Do NOT opt to stay at this location. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.nn-Katrina

Amazing stay. Staff were professional and courteous. The overall lobby and outside was neat and clean and classy. The room was amazing!!! When I laid-back on the bed it was as though I had died and went to heaven. It was the best night sleep I have had in years
