Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a DoubleTree by Hilton

No complaints about this hotel. We had an interview with HMC so they booked the room. It was clean, cozy, and concierge was very helpful in giving us directions to Volcano National Park. Hula Hula (the restaurant inside) has yummy food but it's a little bit overpriced.

Don't go here. The Valet Parking is a nightmare. The mandatory resort fee of $30.00 + tax per day was a rude suprise. Not divulged upfront, ever. 7 days x $30.00 is substantial. The COSTCO Package did not mention it either! The food and room service was terrible. The surrounding area is really run down. Love Hilo and The Big Island, though.

Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Even during these Covid times, I felt relaxed and completely comfortable. Rooms are large and the ocean view rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean. Property is well-maintained and is a must stay!

A very nice hotel to stay at in Hilo. It's a little dated but still was a nice, quiet stay. The beds are also very comfortable. However it is a bit pricy for what it is. I feel there are other hotels in the area that charge the same, or even less, and give better value.

Great visit! I travel for work and had to book this last minute. The staff got me checked in without any issues. I look forward to going back for a personal visit not business.
