Pepper Tree Inn

Exactly what we needed! My fiance and I were looking for a place to stay for our weekend getaway. We weren't looking for a fancy place because we planned on hiking, eating/drinking out and being outdoors for most of our stay. Pepper Tree was perfect! Warm, cozy, quiet, and clean room. Good service. Most importantly, it was right across the street from the water and all these cute cafes and restaurants! We'll be back again next time we visit Tahoe City!

One of the most outstanding inns I have been to. From the moment I came in the staff were welcoming, friendly and made me feel at home. The woman working at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind in answering my questions. The rooms were clean and excellent. Check in and out process was smooth. I was thoroughly impressed! This is a Tahoe City gem! I have stayed many times over the past 10 years and have found the place to consistently offer excellent service. It’s a great value for the money, providing a nice place to rest after a busy day skiing ,hiking, taking photos and everything else. Rooms are clean, warm in winter, cool in summer, and very comfortable, with a quality mattress for a good night’s rest. I loved how I could walk out the door for coffee and local shops. It’s perfect for the solo traveler or a couple. Staff are very helpful with area logistics if needed. Peppertree is definitely a place to try if you’re looking for a place to stay in North Lake Tahoe!

Perfectly quaint hotel with good amenities and and great location. We booked a room with a jacuzzi spa and we were able to relax after a long day on the slopes. Nice front desk staff who checked us in quickly.nnParking on site. Very walkable to everything in Tahoe City.

Pepper Tree offers a pretty lovely basic room for a very fair price. Last time I specifically asked for a bathtub and received one. This time, I just assumed I would get one and didn't so be sure to request specifically if you want it. Super location. Some covered parking (if you park early) which I LOVE. Very efficient operation. I am grateful for the chance to stay here.
