Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa

I am a lifetime titanium bonvoy member and I've stayed at hundreds if not thousands of Marriott properties, globally. This hotel is a gem nestled on the Truckee River in downtown Reno Nevada. Okay, so maybe Reno is not my number one destination of choice but I do come here sometimes and when I do I love this hotel. The bar is great and the food is great in the restaurant. It's definitely charming and modern.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was not on the strip yet only a 7 minute walk to the main casinos. It was dog friendly and everyone was very accommodating and nice to my pup. They even gave him a super cute doggy care package. The hotel location is on the pretty Reno river which our hotel room had a great view of. Probably the best part of my stay was the hospitality of the hotel staff. Check-in staff, cleaning staff, valet, everyone was so nice and went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable and wonderful stay. I highly recommend.

Probably the best hotel in Reno. Great view from the room of downtown, the river, and surrounding mountains. Location was only a block or two from downtown. Aesthetic of the hotel is Modern American with some vintage furniture in the lobby and restaurant downstairs. Bikes for rent are beach cruisers that are well maintained enough and sturdy enough to go over potholes in broken parts of town. The lobby restaurant was phenomenal, with a riverside dining and excellent food for the whole family. Staff was very friendly, cheerful and talkative. If you can afford it, stay here. Also the parking lot has a fence around it which is a good idea.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff amazing restaurant! Only issue I had already checked in on the phone so it somehow locked up my debit card....ended up using my girlfriend card and prevented us from accessing $400 of our funds that the manager personally explained to be would be refunded to our cards after the trip...Oh well stopped us from gambling it so probably a good thing. Ha
