really nice, excellently staffed, & really clean, nice decent breakfast, room was perfectly set up bath 5 star with all amenities! TV remote & channel selection the best I've used! Finally a remote that simply works!

Excellent service, very clean rooms. Reasonable prices. Walking distance to circus circus hotel.

Arrived at 9pm. First thing the office says is they have to check if the room is clean.. like um it's way past when somebody should have cleaned it. After she does her check we go to look. The light switch doesn't work, the room smells like bad bo covered with a perfume, freshly sprayed. We turn around and left. 2 hour trip to reno. 2 hr trip home. Oh well.

This was a really bad decision! It appears that Howard Johnson side was under renovation to improve the rooms but that was abandoned and now the travel lodge side has taken over and it's a nightmare! While the rooms look like the photos to an extent, it's very deceptive in reality! The parking lot was very sketchy (and I've lived in the hood before and still felt uncomfortable) walls are paper thin, bed was like sleeping on top of just a 4 in mattress topper on top of a box spring, furniture was too big for room so hard to move around it to get to one sided of the room, room was only cleaned where the eye could see (so corners and behind toilet where not touched). We thugged it out for the night since it was already prepaid and we were only there for a college visit for the day, but NEVER again!! Do yourself, your back, mind and family a favor and find something either in Sparks or stay at a casino resort!!!!!
