What a nice place to stay and experience New Mexico! Easy to find and off the beaten path, the Casita had everything I needed and was well maintained as well as homey. It was fascinating to watch the local birds looking for food in the scrub right off the patio as I enjoyed my morning coffee. Karen has a wonderful place to stay at and was able to make great suggestions as far as places to visit. Make sure to grab a burger at the Shaffer hotel in town and visit the art gallery. I will be back to stay again!
Two Ponyz is the perfect place to sneak away for a break from city life. We've stayed in the beautifully furnished casita several times now, in all seasons, and I really couldn't choose which was the best. The host has greeted us and provided tips on things to do and see in the area during each of our visits. The night skies are breathtaking, as are the sunsets. Truly, a rejuvenating place to stay.
We've stayed here several times and always felt welcomed and comfortable. We loved watching the horses, interacting with the owner and her sweet dogs, and sipping coffee on a chilly morning with the kiva fire blazing. The vistas are incredible, and the night skies unmarred by city lights, just fantastic. The casita has everything a guest could need and is spacious, way better than other places we've stayed. Potential guests will find tons of positive reviews, like we did, about guest experiences at Two Ponyz.
Two Ponyz Ranch was such a delightful excursion! I stayed at the incredibly luxurious casita for a two week long vacation. The accommodations were amazing, impeccably clean, very tastefully decorated and complete with a kiva to bring added coziness for a chilly evening. Not only was the bed super comfortable, the kitchen is ample and fully equipped for cooking, and the amenities are fantastic. Spacious and inviting, the casita was like a home away from home. But better!nnThe scenery around the ranch is gorgeous, located on many acres, it is the perfect serene and calming getaway. Definitely a place to decompress. The patio overlooks the Manzano mountains and you can see the entire milky way at night. It’s beautiful. The owner Karen, is wonderful! Helpful, attentive, fun, super sweet, and owns two lovely horses, Ace and Cricket. She makes sure you’ve got everything you need for a perfect stay. She also respects your privacy if you want solitude. ud83dude00nnThe ranch is easy to locate and while remote and peaceful, it is not too far away from the city if you want to go exploring historic sites, hiking or biking.nnI would highly recommend the Two Ponyz Ranch for a vacation, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and am definitely planning on returning. For longer next time!!ud83dudc0eud83dudc0eud83dudc0e
AWFUL experience from start to finish at 2 Ponies Ranch of Mountainair, NM.nWe will Never return & Never recommend this place to anyone we know.nOwner is overbearing & intrusive.nVery unpleasant time, thanks to owner.nnWent for solitude which was daily destroyed by her popping in numerous times, even when we weren't there ! To which we'd return to find notes on the counter for us, pertaining to nothing of importance just letting us know she was there IN the cabin yet again and would pop in again before day was done !?!!nnIf you go You'll be subject to her endless bragging on herself, griping and be asked question after question, like your on a talk show. Yet she hates being questions and tend to leave abruptly if you attempt to turn her daily interviews into a conservation....no one goes to nowhere to chit chat with a stranger, especially an arrogant rude one.nnPlus drive is a nightmare, we literally almost died the one day as we attempted to drive out the on Very poor road which was being regraded yet again.nnAnd the endless train horn blaring !n2 Ponies is off 60, a Major route for trains runs along this highway.nYes you can hear it back at her ranch, not relaxing when it's endless as it blares at each and every single crossing for the houses on the other side of tracks.nnThis is the most unpleasant trip we have even taken.
