The staff was friendly and helpful during all of our stay. They offered fresh towels and trash service between room cleanings. The breakfast was a selection of muffins, bagels, cinnamon buns, oatmeal, apples, bananas and a coffee bar with tea and cocoa. The pool and hot tub were clean and there were plenty of towels. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. I can tell that they work hard to keep everything nice.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, accepts pets, nice and clean hot tub and pool, vending machine for soda, centrally located, comfortable beds and pillows!! We love the pillows! Nice hot shower with excellent water pressure. We will return. Excellent value.
A real good modestly price motel. Front desk is helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and well appointed. The furnace was loud and we turned it off to enable our sleeping.nnCovid restrictions are in place. Must wear a mask. Limited breakfast items, but coffee and tea is carefully available all the time.nnI would choose to stay there again.
My wife and I come to Salida every year but this is her first time coming in the winter. I have been here to ski Monarch before. We decided to come for New years and use some rewards points for a couple days to bring in the new year with some relaxation. The room was fine aside from something smeared on two separate coffee tables that looked like it was wiped down but not fully cleaned. The hotel was completely booked so I'm sure the staff was a bit overwhelmed. The next morning I went downstairs to get coffee and breakfast. The lady passing out food was short with everyone and borderline rude. Then as we were getting ready to go, a woman from housekeeping knocked on the door and then proceeded to walk in our room. At the front desk, the manager ( same lady that was passing out food ) was on the phone complaining about something. She got off the phone and we explained what happened. She said that they do what they did because the hotel is completely booked and they would be there all day if they waited for people to check out. I know it was busy and New years day, but DAMN! Don't waste your points or money and go somewhere else.
Great place on highway 50 in Salida.nnSuper friendly staff and accommodating in these unusual times.nnI read in many places this is a two star hotel, but I would give it at least three.
