Ray's Simpler Times

I’ve been coming here for years. Beautiful location. Clean and welcoming cabins. The owners are the best and make you feel so at home. There is an area for kids to play, there are books and games in the main house you can borrow. Right next to the water. This is my favorite place in the whole world to go to. I refer to it as my second home. Beautiful little town to go into to shop and eat that is only a two minute drive away. Many hiking trails, tubing, horse back riding and other activities to do. My parents used to bring me and my brother since we were kids and now we go on our own too.

Such a beautiful and amazing get away. The whole family is amazing. I have loved this place for so many years!

My boyfriend and I decided to spend a few days here with our two teens and a tween. We rented the largest cabin available (sleeps four, technically, but the tween was short enough to sleep comfortably on the sofa). The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with towels, dishes, etc. Games and reading material were available in the office, but we had brought our own. We really enjoyed the quiet and comfort, and it was an excellent base of operations for our exploration of the area. 15 minutes from Woodstock, 30 minutes from the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and Dutchess County Fairgrounds, there was so much to see and do, we plan to go back next year, if Susan and Vince will have us!

Annual autumn getaway - great location for 'home-base'. Cozy cabins and friendly owners.

Beautiful location, clean and charming old-school cottages among big trees. Short distance from good hiking trails.
