Was lucky enough to find this gem while visiting friends with a small camp on Galway lake. This pristine historic house has been lovingly restored and sits in a beautiful, bucolic spot in the town of Galway. I loved chatting with the owners, Nancy and Ralph - the loveliest folks you could ever hope to meet - and bonding with their dog, Summit. I was beyond comfortable and would recommend this place to the most discerning travelers. Within easy reach of Saratoga Springs or Schenectady. Can't wait to go back later this summer.

Every time we come, Nancy and Ralph make us feel right at home. We stay here repeatedly for a reason. We enjoy their home, the service, their friendship, and their food. Most excellent.

Fabulous accommodations, fabulous food and fabulous people. It should get 10 stars.

What a beautiful B&B! Normally we stay at hotels, this was our second B&B experience ever and I can’t wait to return to the Saratoga area to stay here again! We were only 20 minutes to the track and downtown Saratoga, returning to this peaceful B&B each night was a treasure. The hosts were so gracious and the work they’ve done to this farmhouse is fascinating, not only are they experts on the area and community but they are lovely people to talk to. Summit the dog is an absolute doll, she may bark when you first arrive but with a warm greeting, she melts into a sweet adorable well-behaved house dog that will greet you with happiness, admittingly I missed seeing her this morning when I woke up at home! The perks to this B&B seem never ending, the gardens are gorgeous, you can spend an afternoon just wandering around the apple trees or the lush wildflowers and the vegetable garden had me thinking of re-designing my own. Bring a book, or take one from their extensive library, I only wished I had more time to spend on the grounds. The rooms were beautiful, we stayed in the green room, the bed was so comfortable I was surprised I slept so well for being in a new place, the views in the morning were so warm and colorful. Breakfast was something we looked forward to everyday, the kitchen is so inviting and the breakfast that was prepared for us was better than any restaurant we’ve been to, fresh fruit as a starter, delicious coffee or tea and fresh juice, we stayed three days. Day 1: Homemade waffles, fresh sliced peaches with Crème fraiche and toasted pecans and bacon. Day 2: Fresh Cantaloupe with granola and an Egg Frittata with onions and peppers with Portuguese muffins. Day 3: Fresh local peaches broiled and served with a black currant jam and mascarpone, pancakes with sliced bananas, and sausage. Every meal was absolutely delicious. It’s a very comfortable stay, plenty of privacy and the home was immaculate as well as being furnished beautifully. We truly couldn’t have asked for more.
