Very nice shelter!nFantastic View, Hudson River below, Manhattan skyline afar; clean interior, two fireplaces; nice campsites abound all around
Absolutely amazing view of the Hudson River. Two fireplaces at shelter entrance. Tough hike up the Blue Trail to get here. Water source 0.3 miles from shelter at junction of Blue and Yellow trails. Surrounding campsites have room for about 20 backpackers.
Difficult and not maintained
Great hike up to this shelter! Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and you can even see the NYC skyline from the summit. Ample space to drop camp if you're thru hiking as well. Shelter has a two stoves inside.
Beautiful views. Be sure to bring enough water.
