Mountain Brook Lodge

Hospitality was spectacular. Everyone is very friendly. My boyfriend and I felt right at home. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very quaint and have their own personal touch. Privacy is plus. Definitely coming back. We highly recommend this place. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did

Great price.nStaff was greatnNo frills - but, you get what you pay for.nRoom was clean, warm and had plenty of hot water.nIf your simply looking for an inexpensive place to sleep for a couple days while skiing Whiteface this is a bargain.nOnly negative was a chemical smell in room, I suspect it was to possibly cover previous smoker in room.

I stayed here because of the reviews only to get bit by bed bugs. We were here for three days, and not once was the room serviced. The advertised complimentary breakfast consisted of coffee or tea, no actual breakfast. We stayed in Room 21. Both beds had bed bugs. I will find a place in Lake Placid next time.

The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms: They are so friendly I wish I could give a better review, but I can't. They smell. Wasn't just mine. The beds are absolutely awful. Mattress had to be from the 70's. Need to be updated desperately.

We spent the new year here with our two dogs and had a great time! The rooms were clean and cozy, the property was well cared for, and we enjoyed the coffee and breakfast. Al is a wonderful host and we would absolutely stay at the Mountain Brook Lodge again. Thank you for being so sweet to our pups. Hoping to make it back there this summer!
