Residence Inn by Marriott Buffalo Downtown

I love this hotel. Clean, safe, friendly staff, and the hotel was beautiful. Stunning, large rooms with full fridge, and so many other amenities. It was absolutely amazing

Didn’t even get the chance to stay here. My boyfriend reserved a room a month ago for Valentine’s Day weekend for us, a two night three day stay. Our check in day was supposed to be Saturday. He gets a call from the front desk that because of covid they have to charge him an extra $260 on top of his regular booking fee. He asked why and the lady says it’s a liability fee if we get sick at the hotel. So he asked her why wasn’t this fee added at the original booking and why am I being told now? She told him “well we don’t have to tell you about the fee and most hotels don’t tell you until you check in.” So for two nights at this three star hotel they wanted $600 and some change. We cancelled our reservation and will not book again. You should have your full pricing when people are booking.

Nice hotel rooms and in a great location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our schedule since the pool area had a limit on the amount of guests and my kids wanted to swim. I appreciate the covid safety protocols to make guests feel safe and the creative solutions offered to still provide guests with quality service. (EX: The pre-order breakfast is a great idea and appreciated in lieu of the standard buffet.) I interacted with several staff members during my stay and they were all friendly. FDR's Inauguration site is almost directly across the street for anyone interested in history.

Room is nice size for the price. Staff was polite, professional, and very helpful. The only improvement is wifi code up front, breakfast was only served on the first night. Maybe provide voucher or request form for each day.

The hotel and rooms are just as beautiful as advertised! They offer a full kitchen (no oven) with pots, dishes, utensils and electric stovetop. Everything in the room was clean. Also very spacious. A indoor pool (no jacuzzi) that has a sauna like feel to the room which was nice. Gym is nice. Staff was helpful and kind. They are currently still offering free breakfast, however you must place an order the night before and it is packed up for you to take in the morning. It was easy to do. My breakfast was pretty good considering the circumstances. I did have a few items missing/wrong with the order, but the cook was very kind and I understand that can be tough right now. Only other small issue I had was they ran out of towels one night. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and explained that they were low but he had just placed some in to wash and they would be done within 30 mins to an hour. I kind of needed one at that moment because there weren't enough in my room for the four of us staying, but he was so kind about it I couldn't and didn't care to complain. Those 2 minor things are the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It was an EXCELLENT experience and I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.
