Super 8 by Wyndham Pride Midvale/Midvalley/Salt Lake City

Christopher at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The reason I only gave 3 stars was because of the state of the room. There were burn spots on the bed cover and rust spots on the paint around the bathroom door. There were also a few spots here and there throughout the room that had been missed. Overall, service was great but the room brought the score down from a 5 to a 3.

Not only is the staff here some of the best people, but the customer support team through Wyndham is driven to making their customers happy. Bobbie in customer service went above and beyond in making sure my stay was comfortable. She honored the company’s promotions beyond the small print and the catches. Thanks Wyndham!

This hotel is just a tad better then the others of relative price, but what sets this one apart from the rest is the staff. In particular the managerChastity. My boss reserved the room for me using the hotels 3rd party call center. I came in at 1:00pm and approached the front desk in hopes of checking in early. Instead of that I was informed that there would be a healthy deposit that I could not cover. I while I waited in the parking lot with a thousand bags, I saw a lady picking up trash on the other side. I walked over to her to let her know I wasn’t homeless and trying to set up camp there, but if my boss couldn’t work this out, I may be! She was very nice, only saying I was fine where I was and not to worry. I got a call an hour later from my boss informing me that the reservation was good to go, and that I was okay to check in. When I was talking to the very polite and profusely apologetic general manager Ahmed, I asked who the lady was that was cleaning up the parking lot (assuming she was housekeeping) because I wanted to let him know how helpful she was and to give her props, but when he told me who she was I choked. She was the manager!!! I was so impressed. I guess I didn’t look very closely at her name tag, but she was working too hard, and was far too nice to be any level of upper management. I was very shocked and so impressed. Good job Ahmed, you have an absolute keeper in Chastity! Keep hiring, training, and treating customers like that, and you will put all these other hotels out of business my friend. Thanks again. Brian

Great area. I grew up in this area and remember when they built this hotel! Whenever I'm in my general hometown area & need to get a room this is one of my first choices.

I have stayed in better hotels for the same price. Nice rooms, but the walls are super thin and you can hear EVERYTHING said in the hall. My key didn't work the second day which is frustrating. Also, asked for my sheets to be changed after the first night and it didn't happen. Stayed there for the convience of lots of places to eat and near a grocery store, but the area is kinda run down. Won't stay there again.
