Although this place looks run down and dirty on the outside with a lot of people walking around. The rooms are really well kept! Clean, spacious, and comfy. Super affordable. Even better than some of the more expensive rooms we've stayed in. Staff is friendly and very helpful and eager to make your stay comfortable. And the people outside was super cool and friendly with great conversations.

I recently traveled cross-country and had a beyond wonderful experience staying in La Quinta's all over the nation, except for this one in Midvale, UT. This La Quinta is a fleabag motel full of transients and what are clearly vagrant addicts. The room across from me was a revolving door of vagrants, whereby the person staying in the room wedged the lock into the door so that anyone can get in and out without a key at all hours of the night (selling drugs, is what it seemed like they were doing). These parking lot bums kept circling around my parked vehicle and staring inside of it (I had my whole life packed into my car), so that I had to set an alarm to check on my car every thirty minutes. Once I started getting any semblance of actual sleep, the front desk called my room at 5 A.M. to ask me if I was an entirely different room number. The front desk had already received multiple complaints about these people and couldn't find them because they kept dispersing any time anyone mentioned the noise and traffic. Once we hung up, I heard the door slamming across the hall again, so I decided to take my dog out and check on the car. There were multiple people in the pool area who were not hotel guests making a lot of noise. Once they saw me, they all scattered into the morning. I saw a few of them loitering at the gas station across the street not too long afterwards since I decided to just check out early. Oh, and NONE of these people were wearing masks. NONE of the guests besides me wore masks, actually, and the EMPLOYEES weren't wearing masks. I had the most piss poor hotel experience of my life at this specific La Quinta in Midvale, UT. If I were a lesser man, I'd honestly ask for my money back. I'm a bigger guy who can hold his own and I felt incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe at this location. There needs to be a greater security presence to get rid of all of the transients and lead them either to a shelter or a recovery facility where they can get the attention they all need.

We stayed here for 7 days with 3 kids and 2 dogs. We had the apartment suite which was fantastic, clean, spacious, and the beds where SO comfortable! We then moved to a smaller king suite I think is what is was called and it was just as good. House keeping came in and cleaned without touching our stuff and nothing was stolen. Everyone was over the top nice and answered all our questions. Every time we walked in or just pasted the front counter we were greeted. I highly recommend if you are traveling with pets and kids ask for the apartment suite or even room 200.

This place was amazing for it's price point. TV you can log into your own Hulu and Netflix. The staff was super friendly and the soap was top notch, I really appreciate when a place does the little things to make your stay better.

Stay was great until it came time to check out. I stayed with 2 dogs, accidently spilled green juice on the bedspread and they kept my pet deposit saying the bedspread was "horribly stained". I told him its green juice and he said doesn't matter I'm keeping your deposit adding the wash clothes were also stained (that's how we received them).
