I was surprised by how shabby this place was. All the reviews I read made it sound so charming. Instead, our room had a plaster ceiling on the verge of collapsing, the bathroom ceiling had paint peeling in chunks, the baseboards were chipped beyond what would be considered regular wear and tear (i.e. hadn’t been painted in who knows how long), there were holes in the bathroom floor, the towel bar had been ripped off the bathroom wall so there was nowhere to hang towels, we had a shower curtain for draperies, and the couch was so stained we didn’t want to sit on it.
What a wonderful little homely atmosphere in the middle of Newton area. Easily accessible to BOSTON city centre, and just as well to get on the highway. Would surely return here.
Spent three days in this gem with my wife and two daughters. What a lovely experience. In a quite but lovely area.five minutes walk to the T.half hour into Boston. Three dollar fare. Staff at this inn were so helpful and welcoming. Lovely breakfast included in price. Fresh bread, muffins,waffles, cereals, and hot food every morning.rooms basic but so clean.would highly recommend this inn.
Wonderful hotel. Their services are awesome and the location is amazing. 5 stars.
This place would get a 4 plus rating but some other younger guests who arrived a bit ago are talking loud and lots of action around me as I speak and getting close to late and bed time very soon as I write this. So thin walls and no tv to draw them out and no fan either for white noise action. Please let guests know it is QUIET time after 10 pm when they check in later. Then they would know to not be so loud. Quaint place so cannot rate it poor is thing.
