Beautiful lake! Enjoyed the canoe and evening bonfires. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable.
Very Nice place; the type of Lodging that can only be found in Maine, plan on returning soon for a more detailed and extended Review / Profile.
The owners made us feel more like family than guests... beautiful place and a great place to come to after a long day of hiking Katahdin... the hot tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches were an awesome touch.. along with the amazing breakfast the next morning.... STRONGLY recommend checking this place out... I will definitely be back...
John and Kathie treat you like family. We had a different breakfast every day and they were all phenomenal. John is eager to take you around the lake on the pontoon boat, or you can paddle the lake in a kayak or on a paddle board. There's a camp fire each night, which is a great opportunity to relax and get to know other guests. We will definitely be going back for future summer vacations!
Loon's nest has very friendly owners and caretakers. They are very accomedating. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are all very clean and welcoming. The view is beautiful. I look forward to spending more time there.
