Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Summerville, SC

The only positive that I can say about the property in Summerville, SC, is the great layout of the room.nn1. Staff was not consistent with wearing masks. It was the first thing I noticed. Had we not been so tired and had it not been so late when we checked in, we may have gone elsewhere.nn2. When we checked in, I requested extra coffee. The front desk clerk asked if we wanted regular or decaf, and I told her regular. I didn’t pay any attention to what she gave me which is my fault. The next morning when I wanted coffee, I saw that she had given us decaf, and the coffee already in the room was decaf. Not a great way to start the morning.nn3. When we got to our room, we started turning on lights to check them as that has been an issue in other hotels. The light in the bedroom did not work. The front desk clerk was able to move us to another room.nn4. The next morning, we discovered that the refrigerator did not keep things cold.nn5. The room was not clean. There was dust on all surfaces, the floor in the bathroom was dirty.nn6. In the bedroom, there was something under the carpet. It was in the area between the door and the dresser. It was about 1/8” thick, and the size of a brick. It was sharp on the edges and hurt when stepped on.nn7. The stopper on the sink would not open once it was shut. My husband was able to open it as needed but it was very inconvenient. It appears the reason the control rod would not stay attached to the stopper is that the sink has sunk below the edge of the counter top. This gap also allowed water to splash out and created puddles under the sink.nnAll in all, our stay there was very unsatisfactory.

We were greeted right away, no wait time for our room, friendly associates. Room was well laid out and spacious. Clean and well organized. Highly recommended.

I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly without an exorbitant fee, but was not impressed by the upkeep of this place. My 1st impression was the lobby restroom, which was not very clean (as you can see by the photos). Our room was missing coffee, coffee cups, and shampoo. There was a pillow case left on our chair (not sure if clean or dirty). It was sufficient for one night, but wouldn't want to stay very long here.

Paid for a room with sofa bed, was not received. They put me in a room with a jacuzzi, jets were broken. Bed was unmade at check in, blood on old sheets, and a rag was on the floor in the bathroom.n2 stars because the front desk was polite, the housekeeper who eventually came to make the bed was nice, all of the electronics in the room worked, and nothing in the bathroom was broken.

I liked the customer service; they were attentive and courteous. The rooms, that's another story. We arrived and our room was ok. Upon inspection there was coffee in the pot that had molded over, meaning who knows how long it was in there. The air conditioner was also extremely loud. They allowed us to change rooms. The second room was fine until we inspected again. There was excrement stuck to the inside of the toilet along with stains on the carpet. Finally the beds were lopsided and not made properly. I still give them 3 starsthough because the price was low so you get what you paid for.
